This morning we sat Benjamin in his Bumbo Seat and gave the whole solid food thing a try. We chose an organic brown rice baby cereal (no yucky pesticides!) and mixed it four parts breast milk to one part cereal...it was pretty much liquid. At first Benjamin wasn't sure what to make of the spoon or the rice cereal. It tasted a little like what he was used to but felt different in his mouth. He made some funny faces but after a couple tries he decided it wasn't so bad and began opening his mouth for more! UPDATE: The rice cereal unfortunatley didn't go over very well with Benjamin. We are going to skip the rice cereal altogether and in a month or so we are going to introduce some veggies and fruits instead.
