Don't worry, we found her before Benjamin did...

Normally our house and yard operate on a "catch and release" program, even yellow jackets found inside are captured in a glass and set free outside. Today we met the exception to our catch and release program and this spider met her unfortunate end between the soles of two shoes.

Mommy found this black widow spider floating among hyacinth in a freshly built web. The widow's home did offer impressive overhead views of the goldfish. However Benjamin also likes viewing the goldfish and tells Mommy he wants to "touch spiders" so Daddy had to exterminate Ms. Widow (black widows can be deadly). Poor spider chose the wrong yard to call her home.
