Trevi Fountain

Benjamin, Mommy, and Daddy woke very early this morning (6am) which allowed us to visit Trevi Fountain (literally a 30 second walk from our hotel) before even going to breakfast! Early morning is truly the best time to visit, the lights were still illuminated for the night and we had the fountain all to ourselves.

Finished in 1762, Trevi Fountain marks the terminal point of an ancient aqueduct and is dominated by the statue of Oceanus (the god of all water). The fountain is 65 feet wide and every day nearly 3000 euros are thrown into it. As a result Trevi Fountain is guarded 24 hours a day to prevent theft.

The fountain is spectacular and Benjamin had a great time rolling bunny around and enjoying the beautiful water.
